Sage Green Ties

Sage green has become the defining colour of British wedding palettes: soft, botanical, and easy to build a whole party around. Every tie here is cut and sewn to order in our own workshop, and most designs can be matched across a tie, bow tie and pocket square for the full wedding party.

    Why sage green works

Sage sits between grey and green, which is why it behaves so well next to almost anything. Against a light grey or beige suit it reads soft and summery; against navy it sharpens up considerably. It photographs without the colour cast you get from brighter greens, which is the practical reason so many couples land on it after ruling out emerald and olive.

    What’s in this collection

The range is deliberately tight. Our William Morris Larkspur in sage is the one most grooms pick when they want pattern without noise. The eucalyptus and hydrangea florals lean into the foliage look that goes with the colour. For something quieter there’s vintage paisley, mini pin dots, and the abstract watercolour leaves — pattern that only reveals itself close up, which is usually what you want in photographs.

    Matching the wedding party

Because we print and cut to order rather than holding stock, the same sage green fabric can be made up as a standard tie for the groom, a bow tie for the best man and pocket squares for the ushers, with no colour drift between them. That’s harder than it sounds with pre-made stock, where dye lots vary.

If you’re still deciding, our wider green range covers emerald, mint and darker shades, and the wedding ties collection brings every colour together in one place.
