Purple Bow Ties

Purple covers more ground than almost any colour we make, from pale lilac through to a deep purple that reads almost black in low light. All made to order in Britain, in self-tie and pre-tied.

    Lilac, lavender and pastel purple

The soft end of the range has taken over from pastel blue at spring weddings. Lilac bow ties and lavender bow ties work particularly well against light grey and beige suits, and they photograph softly rather than turning blue under overcast British skies, a real consideration for an outdoor ceremony.

    Deep purple and ultraviolet

At the other end, our deep purple and ultraviolet bow ties behave like a navy or a charcoal: formal, quiet, and considerably more interesting than either. They suit evening receptions and black tie optional dress codes where a plain black bow tie would be too severe.

    Matching a wedding party

Because nothing is made until it’s ordered, the same purple can run across the groom’s bow tie, the groomsmen’s ties and the pocket squares in a single production run. Stock ranges arrive in batches and dye lots drift, so two bow ties in the same shade bought weeks apart are often visibly different when the party lines up for photographs. Ours come from one piece of fabric.

Available in self-tie and pre-tied, both adjustable to fit a 14″ to 19″ neck. See our How to Tie a Bow Tie guide, or browse pink bow ties for the adjacent shades.
